A list of frequently asked questions to help you trade-in
Trading in
Sell your iPhone in a few simple steps.
First locate your device using the search facility or hit the trade-in button on the website. This will bring up our trade in start screen. From here simply enter your device IMEI number and we automatically find your device details for you.
Just follow the onscreen steps to trade-in your device.
No, our diagnostics app is optional.
For those who don’t want to use use our app to trade-in, simply click the proceed without diagnostics button to skip.
This way, we will carry out all the diagnostics once we are in receipt of your device. Just be aware that any offer prices shown on our website is subject to passing those tests and the condition being as described.
All smartphone have an IMEI number. On some devices such as iPhones this can be found in the setting app. Simply go to settings > general > about and scroll down until you see the IMEI label. If you long press on the IMEI number you will be able to copy the number to paste on our website.
Alternatively on most devices you can dial *#06# in your phone app and the IMEI number will appear.
- Open Settings.
- Tap [your name] > Find My.
- Tap Find My iPhone, then tap to turn it off.
- Enter your Apple ID password.
- Tap Turn Off.
If you no longer have access to your iPhone, you can remove a device from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.
Erase all content and settings from your iPhone
Your iPhone or device may have personal data on it. We try to make sure that this is wiped during our processing but we cannot guarantee all data will be removed. We recommend before you send your device you wipe this data and you must remove any security measures like PINs, Activation Locks and FMIP (Find My iPhone).
If these are not removed then we will be unable to process your device. Please note that your data may be wiped during our testing and inspection processes even if the device is then returned to you. Please make a backup before wiping and sending your device.
To reset your iPhone:
- Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
- Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
When iPhone restarts all content and settings will be erased. It may ask for your Apple ID password to ensure the activation lock is removed.
When you have your new iPhone arrives you will have the option to set up as a new iPhone or restore it from a previous backup.
Packing & Shipping
While trading in your device on our website you will be able to generate a postage label via our Royal Mail postage service. simple print off this label and attach it to your device package and take it to your local Post Office or you can even have your device collected from your home with our doorstep collection service.
Postage is free when you trade-in using our website.
We don’t need any accessories sending with your device, but should you choose to send them we are happy to recycle them for you free of charge.
Please ensure you remove your SIM card prior to sending your device to us. Should you send your SIM card with your device an admin fee may apply for us to return it.
You should always make sure that you pack any device you send in a secure and safe way. Most carriers do not allow more than 2 devices in any package and you need to make sure that each device has its battery and is securely wrapped to prevent damage during transit.
Once wrapped they should be packed in a sturdy rigid container (like a cardboard box or the original device box) to prevent them moving around. We don’t need any accessories with the device but include anything which is part of the device like a stylus.
Payments
At Frift we offer payment by PayPal, bank transfer or cheque.
We’ll match any trade-in competitors offer. Simply send us a copy of your offer via email with subject ‘Price Match’ to support@094eb78126a517b206a88c73cfa9ec6f-18675.sites.k-hosting.co.uk. Once we validate your request we email you confirm your price match has been accepted.
Once we have received your device and its gone through our trade-in checks, we will pay for your device the same day (Monday-Friday). Dependent on your chosen payment type please allow up to 24-72 hours for the payment to reach your account.

Cheques
Will be sent same day via second class post and should reach you within 2-3 working days. Clearance times are dependent on your bank but allow 5 workings day.
Paypal
Will be processed the same day and will clear in your account within 3 working days.
Bank transfer
Will be processed the same day and will clear in your account within 3 working days.
If your cheque has not arrived within 5 working days, please contact support@35.177.32.11 and our helpful support team will look into issuing a replacement.
